Moon, Star, Sun – Essays by Kotono Mitsuishi

Moon, Star, Sun by Mitsuishi Kotono

Here you can find the on-going English translations of the auto-biographical essays written by Kotono Mitsuishi (voice actress of Usagi of Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon, among many other popular roles) back in 1995 in her book titled “Moon, Star, Sun.” Translations will be posted in order and separated, generally, by section.

These essays have been translated as a piece of literature and to convey the meaning of Ms. Mitsuishi’s essays and are not literal translations. While I’ve made every effort to ensure their accuracy, some sentences may be rephrased for ease of readability or to make more sense to a native English speaker.

Without further ado, I bring you:

  1. Holy God!!!!! I am ashamed that as a former Japanese student and big fan of Sailor Moon and Mitsuishi San, I’ve never heard of this essays!!! I need to get a copy of the original book! I felt so bad I wanted to cry! My poor Kotono experiencing that much pain! I knew she had that surgery but at that time I was so pissed she couldn’t perform for the final of the first season!!!! Didn’t know she had a boyfriend name Keiichi, is she still with him, I have to verify this! Thank you so much for your hard work I really appreciate you! You are a blessing!!!
